The club prides itself with having what we consider one of the best bowling greens in Norfolk, this is with continued investment and hard work by our green keepers, this has made us a popular venue for County League Play Off Finals, visiting touring teams and friendly matches.
Great Plumstead Bowls Club is located within easy reach of Norwich being just five miles east of the city, so if you are looking for an inexpensive sport, we always have a warm and friendly welcome for new members of all ages and abilities to join us, with existing members always willing to assist.

A warm welcome is always given to all at our clubhouse.
Each year we are pleased to invite Stepping Stones in May and the local 1st Great & Little Plumstead Cub Pack in September to play games on the green.
During the year friendly fixtures against local clubs, other county clubs and touring teams are always welcomed and these have become very enjoyable social events.
Last season was a very busy one for our President Paul Tree, he was elected as the President of the Norfolk County Bowls Association. Paul is now the Past President he raised £1460, even having his hair shaven off, for his nominated charity Nelson’s Journey, that helps bereaved children and young people at very challenging times.
Jeanette Riseley is this years ladies county federation President of the Norfolk County Womens Bowls Association and is raising funds for a charity very close to her heart Asperger East Anglia.
