Leagues
This coming 2025 season, we will be competing in the following leagues, Sub Area B (Lions) and Area B (Tigers) in the Norfolk County Federation Bowls Leagues, Wensum League, Anglia League, East 2 in the Norfolk Bowls Association (EBA) League, we are entering various Cup competitions these being the Mixed County Cup, Ladies County Cup, Mixed Durham Centenary Cup, Mixed Jermy Cup, Mixed Howlett Cup and the Ladies Top Club Trophy.
The club prides itself with having what we consider one of the best bowling greens in Norfolk, this is with continued investment and hard work by our green keepers, this has made us a popular venue for County League Play Off Finals, visiting touring teams and friendly matches.
Great Plumstead Bowls Club is located within easy reach of Norwich being just five miles east of the city, so if you are looking for an inexpensive sport, we always have a warm and friendly welcome for new members of all ages and abilities to join us, with existing members always willing to assist.
Our clubhouse has a licensed bar and offers a warm welcome to visiting teams and for our full and social members they can participate in social activities throughout the year these include short mat bowling, board games, card games, pool and quiz ‘n chips nights.
A warm welcome is always given to all at our clubhouse.
Each year we are pleased to invite Stepping Stones in May and the local 1st Great & Little Plumstead Cub Pack in September to play games on the green.
During the year friendly fixtures against local clubs, other county clubs and touring teams are always welcomed and these have become very enjoyable social events.

is played for on a home and away basis yearly against South Walsham Bowls Club.
As one of the few local bowling clubs with floodlights we held our sixth ‘Floodlight League’ inviting other clubs to compete, this proved very successful.
CAR PARKING
At the end of this summer playing season the club house is being rebuilt. There is ongoing building works on the adjoining sites, so the car parking area has been reduced and it would be advisable that visiting teams car share as much as possible, we thank you in advance for your co-operation.
