The 2019 season starts with the club opening drive on Sunday 28th April at 2:00 pm.
As one of the few local bowling clubs with floodlights we held our first ‘Floodlight League’ inviting other clubs to compete, this proved very successful and we hope to attract more clubs to join in, any club wanting to participate please contact our club secretary for more details, also friendly fixtures against other clubs and touring teams are always welcome.
Our clubhouse has a licensed bar and offers a warm welcome to visiting teams and for our full and social members they can participate in activities including short mat bowling, darts, pool and quiz and chips nights.
This coming season we hopefully will be going into local schools, junior and secondary, inviting young people to the club to try our game of bowls. We have coaches available to teach the game and a qualified Child and Vulnerable Adult Officer and lots of willing volunteers.
We also are pleased to invite Stepping Stones in May and the local 1st Great & Little Plumstead Scouts group in September to play games on the green.
2018 saw us ending in pleasing positions in league play, the green was running well after the rejuvenation work by our dedicated green keepers and we are now looking forward to the 2019 season and continued success in the league, cup and friendly matches.
We are located within easy reach of Norwich being just five miles east, so if you are looking for an inexpensive sport, we always have a warm and friendly welcome for new members of all ages and abilities to join us, with existing members always willing to assist.
‘Floodlight League’ Trophy
A warm welcome is always given to all at our clubhouse.
