This coming 2023 after a very successful 2022 season, we will be competing in the following leagues, Area D for winning the Sub Area B Norfolk County Federation Bowls League and for winning the Norfolk Bowls Association (EBA) East 2 we have been promoted to the East 1 league. We remain in the  Great Yarmouth & District Bowls League Division 2 and Great Yarmouth & District Bowls League Ladies League and we are entering various Cup competitions.

The club prides itself with having what we consider one of the best bowling greens in Norfolk, this is with continued investment and hard work by our green keepers, this has made us a popular venue for County League Play Off Finals, visiting touring teams and friendly matches.

Great Plumstead Bowls Club is located within easy reach of Norwich being just five miles east of the city, so if you are looking for an inexpensive sport, we always have a warm and friendly welcome for new members of all ages and abilities to join us, with existing members always willing to assist.

Our clubhouse has a licensed bar and offers a warm welcome to visiting teams and for our full and social members they can participate in social activities throughout the year these include short mat bowling, board games, card games, pool and quiz ‘n chips nights.

Each year we are pleased to invite Stepping Stones in May and the local 1st Great & Little Plumstead Cub Pack in September to play games on the green.

A warm welcome is always given to all at our clubhouse.

During the year friendly fixtures against local clubs, other county clubs and touring teams are always welcomed and these have become very enjoyable social events.

This season will be a very busy one for our President Paul Tree, he has been elected as the President of the Norfolk County Bowls Association. Paul has nominated Nelson’s Journey as his charity for 2023 and hopes you will join him in supporting this local charity that helps bereaved children and young people at very challenging times.

Winning the East 2 league gave us a chance to win the Hansells Cup, the play-offs took place at Wymondham Dell. Winning the semi final against Swaffham Town we then took on the Norfolk Bowls Club 'C' team, but lost to them in the final.
